Hokohoko - The Māori Mall

Hokohoko emerged from weekly online meetings of Te Rōpū Pakihi Māori business network during the COVID-19 lockdown.  Recognising the need to support local businesses to operate online, the network developed a Buy Māori campaign around an online marketplace.  We appreciate the support and assistance provided by our partners, Mall Planet, Te Puni Kōkiri and Hautaki Ltd, the commercial arm of the Te Huarahi Tika Trust.  Ehara tōku toa i te toa takitahi engari he toa takitini tōku toa. Te Rōpū Pakihi supports the growth and development of Māori enterprise in the Kāpiti Coast and Horowhenua region and through its Māori business networks partners, the length and breadth of the Te Tai Hauauru region (west coast from Nelson to New Plymouth) .  The Network meets regularly to tautoko each other in business and community.  We hold functions throughout the year to whakawhanaungatanga amongst ourselves and with others.

The network was established in April 2001 and is underpinned by the premise that it is the influence of kaupapa tuku iho, inherited values that makes our businesses unique contributors to our communities.
